What Is Jenny Mod?
Jenny Mod — officially known as Fapcraft — is a fan-made Minecraft modification created by SlipperyTum in 2018. It does something no other mod has done before: it adds a fully interactive virtual companion to your world who actually reacts to what you do. Not a passive NPC. Not a scripted robot. Once installed, Jenny lives in a small pointed-roof house in your world. Gift her emeralds, gold, or diamonds and she responds with unique animations and custom dialogue. Ask her to follow you and she comes — through caves, across oceans, into the Nether. How to Install Minecraft Jenny Mod
Get up and running on Java/Forge, TLauncher, or MCPE/Bedrock in minutes. Follow each step carefully — version mismatch is the #1 cause of install errors

Make sure you have Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2 installed. Jenny Mod only works on this exact version — newer versions are not supported

Download Minecraft Forge 1.12.2 from the official Forge website. Run the installer and select “Install Client”. Wait for the success message.

Open the Minecraft Launcher, select the Forge 1.12.2 profile, and launch the game once. This auto-creates your mods folder. Close the game after loading.

Download the Jenny Mod .jar file (46 MB) using the download button above. Save it somewhere easy to find.

Press Win + R, type %appdata%.minecraft\mods and press Enter. Drag and drop the JennysMod-1.12.2-v2.5.jar file inside.

Relaunch Minecraft with the Forge 1.12.2 profile. Create a new world in Creative Mode and use the spawn egg from your inventory to summon Jenny.
Pro Tip: If Jenny appears invisible, go to Options → Video Settings → Performance and disable “Use VBOs”, then restart the game. Works 95% of the time.

Download and install TLauncher from the official TLauncher website — it’s free.

In TLauncher, select Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge from the version dropdown and click Install.

Launch the game once with the Forge profile to auto-generate your mods folder. Close after loading.

Download the Jenny Mod .jar file and place it inside .minecraft\mods
folder.

Relaunch via TLauncher using the Forge 1.12.2 profile and spawn Jenny in Creative Mode using the egg.

get the most out of every interaction
Once Jenny is spawned in Creative Mode using her egg, she will appear near you and stay idle until you interact. The first thing most players do wrong is try to rush interactions — Jenny responds better when you build trust first.
Start simple: approach Jenny and right-click to open her interaction menu. You will see options to make her follow you, sit, or access her inventory. Before attempting any advanced interactions, gift her emeralds or diamonds — this is how you unlock her full range of animations and dialogue.
In Survival Mode, the experience is different. You need to gather the gift materials yourself, which makes interactions feel genuinely earned. Jenny actively protects you from hostile mobs, heals you after battles, and follows through dangerous terrain without getting stuck.
One thing almost no guide mentions: Jenny responds differently based on your player name. The mod has a small internal list of names that trigger variant dialogue. If you want to see every dialogue variant, test with different player names.
Secret Tip — Most Players Miss This
Jenny’s Lucky Potion does not just trigger animations — it actually adjusts Minecraft’s internal luck value, affecting loot table drops. Use it before opening chests or fishing for noticeably better rewards. This mechanic is not documented in any official mod page
Step 1 — Spawn Jenny
Open Creative inventory, find Jenny’s spawn egg, and place it on flat ground. Test in Creative Mode first before using in your main world.
Step 2 — Gift Her First
Right-click Jenny and gift emeralds, gold, or diamonds. This unlocks her full interaction menu, custom animations, and personal dialogue.
Step 3 — Make Her Follow
Select “Follow Me” from the interaction menu. Jenny will track your movement through any biome, biome, ocean, or cave automatically.
Step 4 — Set Her Home
Assign a home location so Jenny can teleport back safely if you wander too far or face too many hostile mobs.

Jenny Mod not showing up / “Missing Mods” error
Fix: Confirm you are running Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2 — not 1.13, 1.16, or newer. Jenny Mod only works on 1.12.2. Also confirm Forge version matches exactly: 14.23.5.2860 or later. Delete and reinstall the .jar file into the mods folder.

Game crashes immediately on startup after installing
Fix: Move all other mods out of the mods folder and launch with only Jenny Mod installed. If it works, re-add other mods one at a time to find the conflict. Also allocate more RAM — minimum -Xmx4G -Xms2G in launcher settings. Shaders like SEUS and BSL can also cause crashes — disable them.

Performance
Lag or frame drops when Jenny uses powers
Fix: In Video Settings, lower Render Distance to 8 chunks and set Particles to Minimal. Disable any other visual mods running alongside Jenny. On mobile, close all background apps and lower graphics to Fast mode before launching.

Black screen after clicking Play with Forge profile
Fix: This is usually a GPU driver conflict. Update your graphics drivers first. If the issue continues, update Java to version 8 (not newer) from java.com. Also try disabling fullscreen mode and launching in windowed mode first. A fresh Forge reinstall fixes this in most cases.

Resource ID conflicts — duplicate entity errors
Fix: You likely have two versions of Jenny Mod installed. Check your mods folder and delete any duplicate .jar files. A “Duplicate Mod ID” error always means two conflicting files are present. Keep only the latest version: JennysMod-1.12.2-v2.5.jar
